Children of War
They are the children of war,
Too young to have an opinion
But old enough to know its pain and agony.
Caught in the middle
With no means of escape.
Why should they suffer?
They, who are so innocent,
They, who have everything ahead of them.
Why should they even know what war is
What pain feels like.
They will always remember the horror
Until the day they die....
If they haven't already done so.
